Corporal Herbert Walter SUBRITZKY

Herbert Walter SUBRITZKY was born 28 October 1866 in Maldon, Australia.  He was the son of Captain John Anton Subritzky and his wife Elizabeth (nee Hoare).  He enlisted in the New Zealand Army under the volunteer system and was a founder member of ‘D’ Squadron, the Mangonui Mounted Rifles.  He was promoted to the rank of Corporal and took part in the inaugural Annual Camp of the Mangonui Mounted Rifles in the summer of 1900.  His date of discharge is unknown.
